Having served in the Oklahoma National Guard, CEO Nathan Richter is committed to supporting those who have served our country and who are coping with the invisible scars of war and the associated trauma that comes with it. “People with PTSD often describe the feeling as a storm,” explains Richter. “When PTSD is triggered, a storm feels like it is brewing inside and when it bubbles to the surface, you snap – sometimes emotionally and sometimes physically. Studies have shown that the use of CBD combined with low doses of THC by PTSD survivors increases naturally occurring levels of anandamide – a cannabinoid produced inside the body commonly referred to as the ‘bliss molecule.’”

In response to his personal experience with PTSD as well as that of his fellow soldiers, Richter developed Nature’s Keys signature Battle Buddy product with the help of a physician. “When I am faced with the triggers of PTSD and can feel the storm brewing, I will often consume a CBD product to start the process of homoeostasis in my body.
